herbgreey®CBD extract Health Benefits:

herbgreey®CBD extract (Cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive compound extracted from cannabis plants, primarily industrial hemp. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which produces psychoactive effects, CBD is characterised by its lack of psychoactive properties and its high safety profile, as well as its potential for various physiological activities.

Pain and inflammation relief

herbgreey®CBD extract Applications:

herbgreey®CBD extract binds to CB1 and CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which inhibits the transmission of pain signals and reduces the release of inflammatory factors such as TNF-α and IL-6. This provides relief for various chronic pain conditions. Studies have shown that a combination of CBD and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), found in products such as nabiximols, has been approved in some countries for treating spasticity and neuropathic pain associated with multiple sclerosis (MS). In inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and colitis, CBD reduces inflammatory responses by regulating the immune system and inflammatory pathways.

■ Source

herbgreey®CBD extract primarily originates from the Cannabis sativa plant, but its exact source depends on factors such as plant variety, regulations and extraction processes. The primary natural source of CBD is industrial hemp, which is the most significant and compliant source of CBD worldwide. It is characterised by its low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content (typically ≤0.3%, meeting regulatory standards) and the absence of psychoactive effects. Specific extraction sites include the inflorescences, leaves, stems and stalks of the plant. The inflorescences and leaves have the highest CBD content (70–90% of the plant's total CBD), particularly the inflorescences (flower buds) of female industrial hemp. These are the preferred raw material for commercial extraction. Stems and stalks have a lower CBD content (typically below 5%) and are more commonly used for fibre extraction or as base materials, such as crude CBD extracts, which are suitable for applications with lower purity requirements. The majority of CBD in China is produced in Yunnan Province, which is well-suited to natural cultivation and has reliable source factories.

Oral herbgreey®CBD extract products, such as oils, capsules and gummies, are popular health supplements due to their alleged benefits in improving sleep, reducing stress and boosting immunity. Oral solutions and drops containing CBD allow users to adjust the dosage according to their needs. CBD-infused oral liquids and drops allow users to adjust the dosage according to their individual needs. CBD-infused mineral water, soda, energy drinks, coffee, tea, juice and other beverages usually dissolve or emulsify the CBD prior to adding it, focusing on concepts such as stress relief. CBD is mixed with carrier oils, such as olive or coconut oil (MCT oil), to create oral drops that can be consumed directly or added to foods such as salads or yoghurt, making it easy to control the dosage. CBD gummies, hard candies and chocolates are among the most common forms of CBD-infused food on the market. CBD is incorporated into sugar- or gelatin-based matrices to offer diverse textures and fixed dosages. CBD cookies, bread, cakes and energy bars are made by adding CBD oil or powder to dough, making them ideal for everyday snacking. CBD-infused yoghurt, ice cream, cheese and other dairy products utilise CBD's lipophilic properties to improve product functionality. CBD-based meal replacement powders, nutrition bars and capsules (containing oil-based or powdered CBD) are often combined with vitamins and minerals, positioning them as health management foods.

CBD is added to skincare products for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which are said to soothe sensitive skin, reduce acne inflammation, and slow the ageing process. Hair care products containing CBD are said to nourish the scalp, improve hair quality and alleviate dandruff and scalp inflammation.

■ Active ingredients

herbgreey®CBD extract is a key non-psychoactive component of the cannabis plant and a biologically active substance in its own right. It is a terpenoid compound with a unique molecular structure that enables it to interact with the human endocannabinoid system (ECS). In natural cannabis extracts, CBD usually occurs alongside other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other components, which may increase its effectiveness through a process known as 'synergy'. Examples of other cannabinoids include tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol and cannabichromene (CBC). Terpenes include limonene, pinene and caryophyllene, while flavonoids include apigenin and luteolin. Flavonoids include apigenin and luteolin.

herbgreey®CBD extract acts on serotonin receptors in the brain, particularly the 5-HT1A receptor, to promote the release of serotonin and alleviate various anxiety-related symptoms, including social anxiety disorder, generalised anxiety disorder and panic disorder. Preliminary studies suggest that CBD may offer additional benefits for depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but its mechanisms require further clarification and it should not be used as a substitute for traditional drug treatments.

 Improve anxiety and mental health

Epilepsy treatment is one of the most well-established clinical applications of herbgreey®CBD extract. High-purity CBD formulations, such as Epidiolex, have been approved by regulatory agencies in multiple countries, including the US FDA, for treating two rare forms of childhood-onset intractable epilepsy. These formulations significantly reduce seizure frequency. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of CBD may offer neuroprotective effects against neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, potentially reducing neuronal damage and slowing disease progression. However, this is currently primarily based on animal studies, with clinical research ongoing.

■ Common forms

The four most common forms of herbgreey®CBD extract are full-spectrum CBD, broad-spectrum CBD, CBD isolate and PCR CBD (phytocannabinoid-rich cannabidiol).

Full-spectrum CBD extract contains not only CBD (cannabidiol), but also terpenes, other cannabinoids, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, phytonutrients and other substances extracted from the hemp plant.

Broad-spectrum CBD is similar to full-spectrum CBD in that it contains a variety of cannabinoids and terpenes, but it does not contain THC. Full-spectrum CBD undergoes an additional processing step to remove THC while retaining other natural cannabinoids and terpenes. This allows full-spectrum CBD to leverage the entourage effect's synergistic benefits without the psychoactive risks associated with THC.

CBD isolate is the purest form of cannabidiol. It is obtained by separating CBD from cannabis extracts and then refining it to remove other components, such as cannabinoids and terpenes. The final product is a fine white powder that contains over 99% CBD. As it contains only CBD and no THC, there is no risk of hallucinations or addiction.

PCR CBD is often used to describe cannabis oil containing various cannabinoids, but no THC. PCR is generally used as an alternative term for broad-spectrum cannabis oil.

■ Extraction process characteristics

The CBD extraction process involves separating and purifying CBD from the cannabis plant (usually industrial hemp containing less than 0.3% THC) while balancing the efficiency, purity, safety and cost of extraction. The most commonly used method is solvent extraction, which leverages the solubility of organic solvents to extract lipophilic components (including CBD, other cannabinoids, terpenes, etc.) from the cannabis plant. It is currently the most widely used method in industrial production. Solvent extraction methods generally include ethanol extraction and supercritical CO2 extraction. Purification and separation processes improve the purity of CBD by removing impurities such as chlorophyll, waxes, other cannabinoids and solvent residues. This is essential for producing high-value products. These processes typically involve dewaxing, defatting, decolorisation, cannabinoid separation and distillation purification.

herbgreey®CBD extract is available in a variety of product formulations. Oil-based products typically involve purifying crude CBD oil extracts and mixing them with carrier oils, such as MCT oil, olive oil or hemp seed oil. The ratio of CBD to carrier oil is determined based on the requirements of the final product, and additional ingredients such as natural flavours or vitamins may be added. The mixture is then blended thoroughly to produce CBD oil in different concentrations and flavours. CBD crystals are obtained through the molecular distillation, separation, purification and concentration of crude CBD oil to produce crude crystals. These are then further crystallised and dried to obtain high-purity crystals. Water-soluble powders are typically made using CBD oil as the core raw material, employing patented technology to ensure excellent water solubility and making them applicable to a wide range of products.

herbgreey®CBD extract can indirectly enhance sleep quality by alleviating anxiety, pain and other issues that disrupt sleep. It is particularly effective in treating insomnia caused by anxiety or chronic pain. Studies show that CBD may reduce the time taken to fall asleep and increase the duration of deep sleep.
