Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) Health Benefits:

Nutrivitas® Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) is the phosphate sodium salt form of riboflavin, also known as flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), is an important coenzyme in the body involved in many biochemical reactions. It is made by combining riboflavin (Vitamin B2) with adenine ribonucleotide and plays a vital role in the body.

■ Source

Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium is found primarily in some plant foods, such as green leafy vegetables (spinach, kale), legumes (soybeans, mung beans), nuts, and whole grains (oats, millet). Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium is not a naturally occurring form, and vitamin B2 (riboflavin) is more abundant in animal foods such as meat, fish, and dairy products. The vitamin B2 in these foods can be converted in the body to Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium.

Particularities of Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium):

Product Specifications:

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) is available in the following specification and contents.

 Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) 73%-79% crystalline powder

Product quality standards:

Production technology description:

The current synthesis method mainly involves phosphorylation of riboflavin with phosphorus trichloride in a mixed solvent of pyridine and acetonitrile, followed by hydrolysis of the reaction mixture and neutralization with sodium hydroxide to obtain sodium riboflavin phosphate. There is also a synthetic method in which γ-butyrolactone is used in the reaction instead of pyridine.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) is clinically made into injections for the treatment of mouth sores, skin diseases, vitamin deficiency and so on. Due to its good water solubility, it solves the problem that vitamin B2 can only be taken orally and cannot be made into injections.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) Applications:

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) is widely used in fortified foods, such as infant formula, maternity foods, dairy products, beverages, etc. It can effectively supplement the vitamin B2 needed by the human body and improve the nutritional value of food. Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium can also be used in other food processing applications such as bakery condiments, confectionery.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) can improve the quality and stability of flour. In the process of meat processing, Sodium Riboflavin 5-Phosphate can be used as a coloring agent, which helps to maintain the natural color of meat products, improve the water retention and tenderness of meat products, and enhance the taste.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) is a key component of many enzymes involved in energy metabolism, redox reactions, amino acid synthesis, and other important biological processes. The metabolic reactions in which it participates as a coenzyme are involved in many of our body's essential functions, such as energy production, cell repair, and immune function.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) plays an important role in the health of the nervous system. It is involved in the synthesis and metabolism of neurotransmitters, which are essential for maintaining normal nerve cell function. A deficiency of riboflavin 5'-phosphate sodium can lead to neurological disorders such as neuritis and neuralgia.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) promotes skin health and prevents and treats skin conditions such as stomatitis, gingivitis, and dermatitis.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) is involved in the synthesis of retinal plasma, which helps maintain normal visual function and prevents vision loss and eye fatigue.

■ Biological functions

Nutrivitas® Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) can be converted to the coenzymes FAD (riboflavin adenine dinucleotide) and FMN (flavin mononucleotide), which are involved in a variety of redox reactions and energy metabolism and play an important role in maintaining the health of the skin, eyes, and nervous system.

In the feed industry, Nutrivitas®Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin 5 Phosphate Sodium) is mainly used in the production of water-soluble multivitamin electrolytes; in the field of veterinary medicine, it can be made into injections for the treatment of nutritional deficiencies in poultry.
