Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) Health Benefits:

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) is a water-soluble vitamin, a collective term for a class of compounds with a similar chemical structure, consisting of chlordiazepoxide, p-p-aminobenzoic acid conjugated with one or more L-glutamic acids, and its biologically active form is tetrahydrofolate. Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) is also known as pteroylglutamic acid because it is very abundant in green leaves.

■ Source

In 1931, L. Wills and others, a physician at the Bombay Maternity Hospital in India, found that yeast or liver concentrates had a beneficial effect on the symptoms of megaloblastic anaemia in pregnant women, suggesting that there was some kind of antianemic factor in these extracts; in 1935, yeast and liver extracts were found to have a beneficial effect on the symptoms of anaemia in monkeys, describing it as VM; in 1939, a liver factor against anaemia, called VBe; in 1941, H. K. Mitchell and others found a factor of Streptococcus lactis in spinach, called folic acid.K. Mitchell et al. found a factor of Streptococcus lactis in spinach, called folic acid. In 1945, while synthesising pteroylglutamic acid, R.B. Angier et al. found that all the above factors were the same substance and completed the structural determination of the substance that was henceforth often referred to as folic acid. This is why folic acid is also known as vitamin B9, anti-anemia factor and pteroylglutamic acid.

Folic acid, a derivative of pteridine, was first isolated from liver and later found to be abundant in the green leaves of plants, hence the name folic acid. It can be found in meat, fresh fruit and vegetables.

Particularities of Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin):

Product Specifications:

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) is available in the following specification and contents:

Production technology description:

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) is usually produced by chemical synthesis. Suitable raw materials, such as pteridine, p-aminobenzoic acid and glutamic acid, are selected and combined by chemical reaction to form folic acid molecules, and the synthesised folic acid is purified and crystallised to produce a high purity folic acid product.

 Immune Enhancement

 Improves anaemia

 Protects cardiovascular system

 Food field

 Pharmaceutical field

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) prevents fetal malformations and reduces the risk of neural tube defects; treats megaloblastic anaemia by promoting erythropoiesis and improving anaemia symptoms; is used to prevent cardiovascular disease by lowering homocysteine levels; and is used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis and to promote gastric mucosal repair. Commonly used dosage forms include oral solid and injection.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) Applications:

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) is used as a nutrient fortifier, added to flour, rice, infant formula and nutritional products for pregnant women, to prevent neural tube defects in the foetus and to improve folic acid deficiency in the population. Folic acid is used as a supplement for pregnant women and the elderly in the form of tablets, capsules or liquids, and can also be added to fruit juice drinks and dairy products as a food supplement.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) is a water-soluble vitamin that can stimulate and enhance the immune function of white blood cells, thereby strengthening human immunity and improving the body's resistance to external viruses and bacteria.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) is also an important substance that promotes the formation and proliferation of red blood cells. Adequate folic acid supplementation is beneficial in the prevention of iron deficiency anaemia and megaloblastic anaemia.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) can help the human body to reduce the concentration of triglycerides, cholesterol and other harmful substances in the blood, so it can prevent atherosclerosis to a certain extent, which is helpful in preventing cardiovascular diseases.

■ Metabolic process

After ingestion of natural dietary folic acid, the body must hydrolyse polyglutamic acid in the intestine to monoglutamic acid, which is then absorbed by active transport across the intestinal mucosa. Before entering the bloodstream, the monoglutamic acid form is reduced to tetrahydrofolate, which is further activated by THF to 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate, and then converted to 6S-5-MTHF, which can be directly absorbed and utilised by the human body under the action of MTHFR. 6S-5-MTHF is an important substance for nucleic acid synthesis and DNA repair, and impaired folic acid metabolism affects the level of DNA methylation and interferes with DNA synthesis.

 Improves cognitive function

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) plays an important role in the normal functioning of the nervous system, and its participation in the synthesis and regulation of neurotransmitters helps maintain good cognitive function.

Prevention of fetal neural tube malformation

The neural tube is one of the first structures formed by the embryo, and Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) is one of the essential substances for DNA synthesis, which is particularly important in the early stages of embryonic development. Adequate folic acid supplementation in pregnant women can prevent neural tube defects in the foetus.
