Liposology®Vitamin C Health Benefits:

Liposology®Vitamin C is a new formulation in which the vitamin is encapsulated in liposomes, which are phospholipid bilayer vesicles. These liposomes protect vitamin C from damage caused by external factors, such as light, oxygen, and enzymes, while promoting targeted delivery and absorption through their compatibility with biological membranes.

■ Technical characteristics

Imp Significantly improved stability: Unlike ordinary vitamin C, which is easily inactivated by oxidation, the phospholipid bilayer of liposomes can isolate oxygen, light, and metal ions. This prolongs the shelf life of vitamin C.

Targeting and penetration advantages: Liposology®Vitamin C is similar in structure to the lipids of the skin stratum corneum and can enter cells by fusion or endocytosis, increasing the accumulation of vitamin C in the skin. By modifying the surface of liposomes, they can be enriched in diseased tissues to reduce systemic toxicity.

Sustained and controlled release: Liposology® Vitamin C controls the release rate of vitamin C. Monolayers release vitamin C faster than multilayers, which release vitamin C more slowly and over a longer period of time. The release profile can be optimized by adjusting the phospholipid composition, such as the level of saturation and cholesterol content.

Biocompatibility and safety: Phospholipids are natural components of cell membranes, and liposomes can be metabolized by the body without causing significant toxicity or immunogenicity. This makes them suitable for oral, topical, or injectable administration.

Particularities of Liposology®Vitamin C:

Product Specifications:

Liposology®Vitamin C is available in the following specification and contents:

 Liposology®Vitamin C powder 15%-50%

Product quality standards:

 In-house, food grade

Ingredients:

The core component is vitamin C, a water-soluble antioxidant. The carrier material is a phospholipid, such as lecithin, which forms a bilayer membrane structure. The vitamin C is then encapsulated in the aqueous phase core of the liposome.

 Antioxidant

 Promotes collagen synthesis

Liposology®Vitamin C Applications:

Liposology®Vitamin C can be used as a raw material in health products. Softgel capsules are usually combined with vitamin E for antioxidant properties. An oral liquid with fruit juice improves the taste and is suitable for children and the elderly. Liposology®Vitamin C can also be added to sports drinks, nutrition bars, and other functional foods. It should be taken after meals and should not be taken with alkaline substances to prevent vitamin C degradation.

Liposology®Vitamin C can be used as a cosmetic ingredient in whitening and anti-aging products. Additionally, Liposology®Vitamin C can be used to treat scurvy, prepare high-purity injections, and rapidly replenish vitamin C. It can also be combined with antibiotics to enhance the therapeutic effect and reduce inflammatory reactions.

Liposology®Vitamin C can directly scavenge free radicals, such as hydroxyl radicals and monolinear oxygen, in the body. It can also block oxidative damage, protect cells from ultraviolet rays and environmental pollution, slow down skin aging, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

As a coenzyme of proline hydroxylase, Liposology®Vitamin C promotes collagen synthesis. It maintains skin elasticity, strengthens bone resilience, repairs endothelial cells in blood vessels, and prevents blood vessel rupture.

 Immunomodulation

Liposology®Vitamin C enhances white blood cell activity, promotes antibody production, boosts the body's resistance to bacteria and viruses, and shortens the duration of colds and flu. It is ideal for individuals with weakened immune systems.

■ Production technology description

Vitamin C can be produced by various methods, such as reverse evaporation, injection by fast cryogenic processes and film dispersion method. The most widely used classical method in the food industry is the film dispersion method, in which phospholipids and cholesterol are dissolved in an organic solvent to form a homogeneous solution. The solvent is then removed via rotary evaporation, forming a thin phospholipid film on the vessel wall. The addition of an aqueous solution containing vitamin C hydrates the film, forming multilayered liposomes. Monolayers of uniform-sized liposomes are obtained by sonication or extrusion. Liposology®Vitamin C prepared by this method have a particle size of up to nanometers and appear spherical under transmission electron microscopy.

 Whitening and lightening spots

Liposology®Vitamin C can inhibit tyrosinase activity, reduce melanin production, and lighten pigmentation. It is commonly used in whitening cosmetics to brighten skin tone.
