Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan Health Benefits:

Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan is the only essential amino acid containing an indole ring among the 20 natural amino acids. In its structural formula, the indole ring is connected to the alanine chain via a β-carbon with a chiral carbon atom. It naturally exists in the L-form (left-handed). It is essential for ribosome translation and is involved in protein construction in human and animal bodies.

■ Source

In 1868, German chemist Adolf Strecker first synthesized tryptophan without realizing its natural existence. In 1934, Emmett Rice and his team in the United States succeeded in purifying L-tryptophan from casein protein. They determined its molecular structure using X-ray diffraction and chemical degradation, proving that it was an L-type optical isomer. In the 1950s, Japanese scientists began studying the production of amino acids by microbial fermentation. They successfully synthesized L-tryptophan by genetically modifying Escherichia coli in the 1960s, which led to large-scale production and replaced the traditional protein hydrolysis and extraction method.

Meat, fish, dairy products, and eggs are rich in L-tryptophan, which is usually lower in plant foods than in animal sources.

Particularities of Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan:

Product Specifications:

Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan is available in the following specification and contents:

 Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan 98.5%-101.5% crystalline powder

Product quality standards:

Production technology description:

● Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan is primarily produced through microbial fermentation, which uses the natural metabolic pathways of microorganisms to create high-yielding strains. This process provides carbon, nitrogen, inorganic salts, and growth factors. Controlling the fermentation conditions increases the yield. The fermentation broth is then centrifuged and filtered to remove bacteria. Finally, the L-tryptophan is purified through ion exchange, crystallization, and chromatography.

 Basic physiological functions

 Neurotransmitter regulation and sleep improvement

Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan Applications:

Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan can be added to cereal, dairy, and beverage products to compensate for its deficiency in natural foods, enhance protein nutritional value, and promote protein absorption and utilization by the human body. L-tryptophan can be used to improve sleep, mood regulation, anxiety, and weight management in functional foods. Common dosage forms include tablets, oral liquids, beverages, meal replacement powders, and capsules. As an essential amino acid, L-tryptophan improves protein synthesis in the muscle and feather tissues of livestock and poultry and promotes growth.

As an essential amino acid, L-tryptophan participates in protein synthesis in the muscles, feathers, and other tissues of livestock and poultry, improving growth rates. L-tryptophan balances the amino acid ratio in feed, reducing protein waste and lowering breeding costs.

As a component of protein, Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan is involved in the synthesis of proteins in all of the body's tissues and organs, including muscle, skin, hair, enzymes, and hormones. It is essential for growth, development, and tissue repair.

Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan enters the central nervous system through the blood-brain barrier, where it is converted to serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine) via hydroxylation and decarboxylation. Serotonin is an important neurotransmitter that regulates mood. It is then converted into melatonin, which regulates circadian rhythms, shortens the time it takes to fall asleep, and improves sleep quality.

 Appetite and weight regulation

Serotonin acts on the hypothalamic appetite center to increase satiety and reduce food intake. Research suggests that Nouramicyte®L-Tryptopha may help with weight control, especially for emotional eaters, by increasing serotonin levels. Consuming L-tryptophan-rich foods with carbohydrates may promote insulin secretion and help more L-tryptophan enter the brain, thereby enhancing its appetite-regulating effects.

 Immune health

Nouramicyte®L-Tryptophan is necessary for the synthesis of immunoglobulins, cytokines, and other proteins related to the immune system. A lack of L-tryptophan may affect immune cell activity and antibody production, thus lowering the body's resistance.
